Planning your visit

To make your visit as comfortable as possible, and to ensure that groups are spread out evenly throughout the day, reservations must be made at least one month in advance with the abbey's reservations department.

visit conditions

  • Schoolbags and backpacks must remain on the bus. For note-taking, only pencils are accepted. Free bus parking is available in front of the abbey, with space for two buses.
  • Closed shoes are recommended.
  • Montmajour Abbey does not have a picnic area. No food is allowed on site, only water.
  • It is forbidden to disturb other visitors, to shout, to run, to climb or to sit on the walls.
  • The Pons de l'Orme Tower and St Peter's Chapel are accessible only to groups of 19 people. Students must be accompanied by an adult (subject to availability).
  • Accompanying adults must maintain visual contact with students and supervise them throughout the visit.
  • Some parts of the monument are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

reservation and payment

Payment must be made on the day of the visit at the Montmajour Abbey ticket office.

The following methods of payment are accepted:

  • Cheque,
  • Credit card,
  • Cash
  • Original order form (+photocopy) conforming to the agreement for public schools
  • Culture pass for schoolchildren by booking your visit on the Adage platform.

In the event of cancellation, please notify us as soon as possible.
